Previous generation analogue CCTV solutions are limited by the technologies of television, generally the interlaced nature and low resolution make it difficult to positively identify people or car registration details.
Digital CCTV is closely related to digital cameras rather than television, meaning that images can be in mega-pixel resolution and individual frames can be captured into standard PC format images which can be emailed directly without any conversion hassles.
True IP Network Cameras
The cameras are standalone units which reside on your network, have a built-in web server and as such they do not require a dedicated connection to a PC. Images can be stored on a dedicated network server or even emailed directly whenever the camera is active.
Utilise your Existing Infrastructure
By using your existing IT infrastructure and power-over-ethernet, Axis Digital CCTV requires minimal new cabling to be installed, this greatly reduces installation time. Remote monitoring can allow users to monitoring the equipment from outside the company premises via the Internet with minimal configuration. By using the digital recording solutions, changing tapes is no longer required and you can pause live footage, rewind and review without even stopping the recording.
Event Management
The Axis camera range also allows for remote triggers to be connected to the camera such as a door-sensor or a PIR sensor, these can be used to start recording or to trigger an external output such as external lighting from the camera.
